1991 is a London based drum and bass producer and DJ who has solidified himself as one of the genre’s breakout stars in recent years. He first gained attention in 2016 when Chase & Status brought him onto MTA Records and earned early support from BBC Radio 1 and the Drum and Bass Awards, which named him best newcomer. Since then his stream counts have exploded—his track Full Send for UKF10 alone has racked up over 20 million streams and his self-released singles in the past couple of years have added tens of millions more. He has worked with major names like Sub Focus and Netsky, remixed for Axwell Basement Jaxx Chris Lake My Nu Leng and others, and became the first UK artist on RL Grime’s imprint Sable Valley. On stage 1991 has commanded festival main stages at Tomorrowland EDC Las Vegas Let It Roll and Nass and sold out tours across Europe North America Australia and New Zealand. With a debut album Odyssey under his belt and his own imprint now active he is pushing the boundaries of drum and bass and live performance energy as a global force in dance music.
