Arnez J is a stand-up comedian known for a physical, high-energy style honed over three decades on the road. He started in standup in 1994 and was a finalist in the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition. His comedy special Racially Motivated landed on Netflix, and he released a follow-up special, Not Gonna Stop, on YouTube in April 2025.
An Atlanta native, Arnez J grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, near the Thunderbird Swap Shop. Comedy was not the first plan: he chased a career as a professional baseball player, then worked as a flight attendant before he found his way to the stage in 1994.
Arnez J has headlined Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam on Showtime and appeared as a featured comedian on All Star Comedy Jam: Live from South Beach in 2009. He has built a steady touring presence, including a run of more than 12 years at the StarDome Comedy Club in Hoover, Alabama, along with stops at the Addison Improv in Texas and the DC Improv in Washington, D.C. That makes him a sought-after live act for comedy clubs, colleges, corporate events, casinos, and private shows.
