I was born in Nashville, TN, spending a majority of my childhood climbing 100 pound rice bags at my parents’ market and traveling to their homeland of South East Asia for summer break. Having toured as a competitive and professional ice skater, attending the Institute of Culinary Education, and working in Jean Georges Vongerichten’s culinary empire, I returned to Nashville for my own pursuits.
Currently, I am a chef/owner/partner of three restaurants, a mixologist and consultant. My work continues to be recognized on a national level as reflected in publications such as GQ Magazine, Epicurious, USA Today, and Eater.com.
Having competed on the Emmy-award winning television program Top Chef, and most recently Food Network Star Season 11, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge of food and home entertaining.
I also have an alter ego Suzy Wong. Suzy Wong is a marketing character and female persona which often times is seen out at social events or in the media as a philanthropic domestic diva. She can also stir up a fierce cocktail. She has great taste.
