bby are a five-piece London band working a scrappy, DIY strain of indie and UK alternative rock, now signed to Glassnote Music LLC. They started putting out music almost immediately, with "gold teeth & fenty" landing in 2023, and had grown into fuller statements like "1" by 2024. The song that carried them furthest was "Kinky", which reached the Top 20 on U.S. Alternative radio and turned up in an Apple keynote presentation.
The band built itself from nothing but an internet connection. The five members met online and formed in early 2023, rehearsed at Dalston's Pirate Studios, and then set up their own scene rather than waiting for one: a Shoreditch warehouse HQ in east London that doubled as band base, show space and hangout, with the State51 warehouse hosting more of the same. That habit of making the room themselves is still the clearest thing about how they operate.
Benjy Gibson sings, with Jessy Jacquet-Cretides and Tommaso Medica on guitars, over a rhythm section of Deon Graham and Tom Parkin. Along the way they were named in Zane Lowe's "24 Artists for 2024" list and added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist, played a hometown run that included Grow in Hackney, and went out in 2025 as North American tour support for Royel Otis. Active since 2023 and already tested on radio, in warehouses and in front of touring crowds, they make a strong fit for college events, festival and fair lineups, corporate dates and private shows.
