With members originating from various locales in England and Greece, Beach Baby is a four-piece specializing in melodic indie rock with a post-punk flavor. The group was born from an ad placed by co-songwriters/singers/guitarists Lawrence Pumfrey and Ollie Pash (a music major) at Goldsmiths, part of the University of London. They added bass player Iraklis Theocharopoulos and drummer Shep Hodgson to the lineup in the summer of 2013. Their debut single arrived in early 2015. The reflective "Ladybird" caught the attention of critics and was licensed for the Netflix series Flaked. The band was soon a hot ticket in local venues and signed with Island Records. They went on to play festivals throughout England and at New York City's CMJ, and released the new wavy Limousine EP later in 2015. Its four tracks made it onto their full-length debut, No Mind No Money, issued in September 2016.
