Dove Cameron is a pop artist whose recorded work runs from teen pop into electropop, goth-pop, and soul. Her 2022 single "Boyfriend" turned a screen career into a music one, and the BMI Pop Awards named it one of the most performed songs of the year in 2023. She followed it with "Alchemical: Vol. 1" in 2023 and "Too Much" in 2025, both released through SME, and each one pushed her further from the bright pop she started with toward something darker and more adult.
She started young. Born Chloe Celeste Hosterman on January 15, 1996, on Bainbridge Island, Washington, Cameron began acting professionally as a child and has worked in entertainment since 2007. Music ran alongside the acting for years before it took the lead, first through the project The Girl and the Dreamcatcher and then under her own name.
