Femtanyl is a Toronto digital hardcore and breakcore duo built around vocalist and producer Noelle Mansbridge and multi-instrumentalist Juno Callender, pulling from Nine Inch Nails, Throbbing Gristle, and The Prodigy. Mansbridge started the project solo and self-released early tracks including "DONT THINK ABOUT THE DISTORTION" and "THEDUMBESTGIRLUKNOW 2," before the breakthrough single "S33K H3LP" arrived in May 2023 alongside the CHASER EP. Callender joined in 2025, and the pair's debut album, MAN BITES DOG, released in February 2026, earned a 7.2 from Pitchfork and an NME cover feature, and set up a September 2026 tour opening for The Prodigy.
The friendship behind the music is part of the story. Mansbridge started Femtanyl alone in her bedroom as an outlet during a hard stretch, and found a creative partner in Callender after bonding over horror films and a shared taste in music. That bond shaped Man Bites Dog directly, the record explores an imagined alternate version of Mansbridge's life, drawing on horror films and British rave acts like Orbital, and it arrived after the duo also contributed to Danny Brown's album in late 2025.
Active since 2023, Femtanyl has taken that catalog abroad, with dates at Dublin's Academy, the Art School in Glasgow, and Gorilla, and a 2026 festival stop at Primavera Sound. It makes for a live act suited to college programming, club and festival bills, and private engagements.
