Hans Williams is a Vermont-born, Norwich-raised singer-songwriter working in acoustic-driven indie folk and folk-pop. He began self-releasing singles in 2018 and has built the career independently since, from All Is Well in 2022 through More Than One Way Home in 2024, with Nosebleed arriving in 2026. He now records with Tucker Hill Records.
The through-line comes from his parents' record collection. Steely Dan and Tracy Chapman were early listening, and the writing he does now pulls from both sides of that: vintage soul on one hand, modern folk on the other, held together by the voice and the guitar.
On stage he moves between hometown rooms and rooms far from home. He sold out Tipitina's in New Orleans, made his debut at the Lebanon Opera House in New Hampshire, and has played The Camden Assembly, while tour dates keep circling back to Norwich, Vermont. Festival billings include the Nexus Festival near Norwich and Sommo Festival in 2026. It makes him a straightforward fit for college programming, fairs and festival lineups, corporate events, and private shows where the songs carry the night.
