Jadakiss is a Yonkers rap veteran known for his gritty, quotable verses and one of the most recognizable voices in New York hip-hop. His 2004 album, Kiss of Death, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced "Why?" with Anthony Hamilton, which reached No. 11 on the Hot 100, the biggest hit of his career. His solo catalog runs from 2001's Kiss tha Game Goodbye through Top 5 Dead or Alive and 2020's Ignatius.
He came up with his crew. Born Jason Phillips in Yonkers, New York, Jadakiss formed The LOX with Styles P and Sheek Louch in 1994, and the group's debut on Bad Boy, Money, Power & Respect, reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 before they moved to Ruff Ryders for the Top 5 album We Are the Streets.
Jadakiss has become a fan favorite in the live arena, beating Fabolous in a 2020 Verzuz battle and leading The LOX to a win over The Diplomats at Madison Square Garden in 2021, which earned him the nickname "Mr. Verzuz." That hit-packed live show makes him a strong fit for college events, festival and fair lineups, casinos, corporate events and private shows.
