Jenny Slate is an American actress, comedian, and writer. She was born on March 25, 1982, in Milton, Massachusetts. Slate began her career in comedy as a stand-up comedian and later became known for her work on television and in films. Slate has appeared in numerous television shows, including "Parks and Recreation," "Kroll Show," and "Big Mouth," for which she provides the voice of the character Missy. She is also known for her role as Mona Lisa Saperstein on "Parks and Recreation." In addition to her television work, Slate has appeared in several films, including "Obvious Child," "The Secret Life of Pets," and "The Lego Batman Movie." Slate is also an accomplished writer and has written for publications such as The New York Times, New York Magazine, and The Guardian.
