Jessica Lea Mayfield is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. She was born on August 27, 1989, in Kent, Ohio.
Mayfield's music is often described as a blend of alternative country, indie rock, and folk, with a focus on introspective lyrics and melodic guitar work. She began performing as a teenager, and released her debut album, "With Blasphemy So Heartfelt," in 2008, which was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
Mayfield has since released several more albums, including "Tell Me" (2011) and "Sorry Is Gone" (2017), which received critical acclaim for their raw honesty and emotional depth. She has collaborated with several other musicians, including Seth Avett of The Avett Brothers and Scott Avett of The Avett Brothers.
