Jessica Lynn is a country singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who built a genre-crossing career from an unlikely home base: New York City, not Nashville. She released her self-titled debut EP in 2016 and broke through with 2021's "Not Your Woman," a song American Songwriter featured as a story of survival and a turning point in her songwriting. Her 2022 debut album, Lone Rider, hit number one on the digital country charts in both the US and UK and reached number 41 on Billboard's Top Current Country Albums chart, making her the only independent artist in that Top 45. Her 2025 album, All I Own, released on Daydreamer Records, pushed her sound further into rock and R&B.
She came up as a family act, and still performs as one. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Westchester County, New York, Lynn formed her first band at 13 and taught herself guitar, piano, and drums along the way. Her father plays bass, her mother sings backup, and her husband plays lead guitar, the same lineup that has carried her from local New York clubs to a touring schedule spanning more than a dozen countries.
Lynn has shared stages with Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Loretta Lynn, ZZ Top, Richard Marx, Clint Black, Jo Dee Messina, and Thompson Square, and has racked up more than 20 charting singles across 20-plus countries along the way. Backed by The Over The Top Band and, for bigger stages, The Horizon Symphony Orchestra, she has played rooms like the Newton Theatre and the Ulster Performing Arts Center, making her a fit for festivals, fairs, college events, performing arts centers, and private engagements.
