Joost Klein is a Dutch rapper and producer whose high-energy mix of hip-hop, hardstyle and gabber has made him one of Europe's most distinctive live acts. "Friesenjung," his collaboration with Ski Aggu and Otto Waalkes, topped the German singles chart in 2023, and "Europapa," his entry for the Netherlands at Eurovision 2024, became his first No. 1 on the Dutch Top 40. He has released ten studio albums, including Fryslân, Unity in 2025 and Kleinkunst in 2026.
He got his start on YouTube. Born in Leeuwarden and raised in nearby Britsum in the province of Friesland, Klein began posting sketches and mini-documentaries as EenhoornJoost in 2010, then turned to music with his 2016 EP, Dakloos, and has kept his Frisian roots at the center of his work.
Joost won the Popprijs, the Dutch Pop Prize, in 2023, has twice been named Best Artist at the 3FM Awards and coaches on The Voice van Vlaanderen. After his 2025 Europapa Tour, he launched his first world tour, including a headline show at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome. He is a strong fit for festival and fair lineups, college events, corporate events and private shows.
