Jordana is the working name of Jordana Nye, who records and performs mononymously as a solo artist across indie pop, indie rock, and bedroom pop. She self-released her debut album, Classical Notions of Happiness, at 18 in 2020, and it earned her a deal with Grand Jury Music. Face the Wall arrived in 2022.
She came to songwriting the long way around. Jordana started on violin at nine and later taught herself guitar, bass, and ukulele, all before there was a record to her name. She is from Washington, D.C.
Working without a band behind her, Jordana has taken the songs to rooms as different as Berghain, Paradiso, and Blue Shell, a range that suits a solo act comfortable in a club, a theater, or a festival tent. That flexibility makes her a straightforward fit for college programming, festival and fair lineups, and private engagements.
