Josh Gondelman is a stand-up comedian, writer, and spoken-word performer working in observational and comedy writing. He has been performing since he first tried stand-up at 19, and has since brought his act to comedy stages and television, with appearances on Conan (TBS), Late Night With Seth Meyers (NBC), and The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS). His comedy albums include People Pleaser (2022) and Dancing on a Weeknight (2019).
Gondelman came up in comedy the long way. He first stepped on stage in the summer between his freshman and sophomore years of college, incubated in Boston, and then moved to New York City, where he built his career as a writer and comedian.
His work as a writer on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver has earned four Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and three Writers Guild of America Awards. He has also performed as a featured guest on the JoCo Cruise and played rooms like the Parkway Theater.
