Justina Valentine is a New Jersey artist working across hip hop, trap, and R&B. Her 2013 EP Valentine entered the R&B chart at #38, and the records that followed widened the range rather than narrowing it, from Feminem in 2017 to Infrared in 2020, all of it released on Justina Music.
She grew up around it. Valentine was born in Passaic County, New Jersey, into a musical family, and performed theater and dance as a child before she began recording her own music in 2006. By 2012 she had joined the Vans Warped Tour, an early stretch of road work that came well before the releases most listeners know her by.
Valentine has always operated as a solo act, running her catalog through her own imprint and carrying her live show to rooms as different as Barclays Center and The Senate. Her sound pulls from pop and soul as much as from rap, which is what makes her a sought-after booking for college dates, festival and fair lineups, corporate events, casinos, and private shows.
