Kaiser Chiefs formed in Leeds in 2003 and have spent the two decades since working the seam where Britpop, indie rock, and power pop meet. Their debut album, Employment, was released in 2005, and the band has kept a steady release pace since, from Education, Education, Education & War in 2014 to Kaiser Chiefs' Easy Eighth Album in 2024. They record for Polydor Records.
The band's ranks include Ricky Wilson, Simon Rix, Nicholas M. Baines, and Vijay Mistry. Along the way they have collected three BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award, and the live schedule has taken them from Cartmel Racecourse to the Corn Exchange and Marbella Arena.
