KAS:ST is the Paris-born electronic duo of Karol (Carol) Herse and Manuel Sene, working in techno and pulling from deep and melodic techno, house, and acidcore. They started under a different name, Ka One & St-Sene, making house music, before techno became what Sene has called a solemn passion and the pair rebranded as KAS:ST. Their 2016 double EP Dysphoria I Euphoria set the terms, and the second chapter followed in 2017. The Road To Nowhere series arrived in 2019, followed by A Magic World in 2020 and ADORE in 2025.
Sene's path here started on a soccer pitch, not a dance floor. He spent three years as a professional footballer for clubs including FC Istres and Nîmes Olympique before moving to Paris, where he met Herse. They built the operation themselves from there, founding their own label, Flyance Records, and running their catalog through it since forming in Paris around 2014 and going active in 2016. The duo is now based in Barcelona.
On the club circuit, KAS:ST has appeared at Concrete in Paris, Le Sucre in Lyon, and E1 in London, the kind of rooms that suit a live techno act built for long, dark sets. With a label of their own and releases spanning 2017 through 2025, they are a fit for festival lineups, college events, corporate programs, and private engagements looking for electronic programming.
