Kat DeLuna is a singer working the seam between pop and dancehall, with latin, R&B, hip hop, and dance all turning up in the catalog. Her debut single "Whine Up" won a Latin Billboard Music Award, and the bilingual dancefloor instinct behind it carried through "Sobredosis" in 2012 and "Loading" in 2016.
She started early. Born Kathleen Emperatriz DeLuna, of Spanish and Dominican origin, she grew up in the Dominican Republic before returning to the United States, where she wrote her first song at nine. She developed her craft singing in both English and Spanish, and both languages stayed in the music.
Her stage experience reaches back to opening for rapper Cassidy with her group Coquette, and she works with BMG Rights Management as her label. She is a natural fit for college programming, festival and fair lineups, casino entertainment calendars, corporate events, and private engagements looking for a bilingual dance set.
