Kelvin Jones is a singer, songwriter and guitarist whose folk and pop writing keeps a thread of blues running underneath it. His breakout single "Call You Home" arrived in 2014 and set up the album that followed a year later, Stop the Moment. He has kept the catalog moving since, most recently with THE RUDE AWAKENING OF MR BIG JUICE. in 2024, and records for SME.
The first break came from a message board rather than a radio plugger. A friend posted "Call You Home" to Reddit, the song caught on there, and wider radio play and label attention followed. Jones was born in Zimbabwe, and the writing has carried the same directness ever since: a voice, a guitar and a hook that does not need decoration.
The recognition has followed the songs, with gold and platinum awards to his name. On stage he has worked rooms including Jaki, Feierwerk Orangehouse and Utkiek Park, the kind of dates that reward a performer who can hold a crowd with very little around him.
