Kerri Chandler is a DJ and producer working in deep house and garage house, the New Jersey sound he was raised inside of. His records have moved through the labels that built the genre: his SuperLover release "Get It Off" came out on Atlantic Records, with later work through Strictly Rhythm and King Street Sounds, and he founded Madhouse Records to put out his own. The albums map the same run, from Hemisphere in 1996 to Trionisphere in 2003.
He came to it early. Chandler grew up in East Orange, New Jersey, with a disco DJ for a father, which put soul, funk and disco in front of him before he was old enough to play them out. By his early teens he was interning in studios and making his own music.
Chandler has also recorded under a stack of other names, among them UFP, Bassmental and Sfere, and turned up on the Southport Weekender mix series. In 2019 he won the DJ Award for Best House Master and placed #29 on DJ Magazine's Alternative Top 100 DJs. His DJ dates run from Club Space to Knockdown Center to EartH in Hackney, which makes him a natural fit for festival lineups, club nights, college events and private engagements.
