Key & Peele is the sketch comedy duo of Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, the two comedians who created the Comedy Central series that carries their name. Across the show's 2012 to 2015 run, the pair kept pushing sketches past the punchline and into full musical set pieces, and a few of those songs left the show as releases of their own. "Shot in the D*ck" came out as a single in 2012, and "K&P Where You At?" followed in 2014.
The series was their own build. Key and Peele created it themselves, wrote themselves into it, and used it as the proving ground for the character work and music they are known for. That authorship is why the comedy songs land as comedy first: they were written for a scene and a character before they were written for a track listing.
The act is exactly two performers, Key and Peele, with no larger ensemble behind them. Their recorded material sits where sketch writing meets hip-hop, catalogued across comedy, soundtrack, and rap, and has reached audiences through Just For Laughs. That combination of character comedy and music makes them an easy fit for college programming boards, corporate events, comedy clubs, festival lineups, and private engagements.
