Kim Petras is a pop artist working across club, dance-pop, and electronic production. Her catalog moved quickly through the 2020s, from *Problématique* in 2023 to the full-length *Feed the Beast* the same year, with *Detour* arriving in 2026. Her releases have come by way of BunHead, Amigo, and Republic.
She came up in Köln, Germany, and her sound points straight back to what she grew up on: late 1990s and early 2000s pop, plus 1980s Italo disco. Those two reference points explain the shape of the music, big hooks built over dance floor rhythm rather than anything understated.
