Kina Grannis is a singer-songwriter working in pop, acoustic and indie folk, and her catalog has grown steadily since her 2006 debut, In the Memory of the Singing Bridge. Stairwells arrived in 2010, and by the time she released In The Waiting in 2017 she had assembled a body of work built on guitar and direct, unhurried songwriting, with her releases carried by KG Records.
She grew up in Mission Viejo, California, and began writing her own material after picking up guitar as a teenager. YouTube gave those songs their first audience. In 2008 she won a Super Bowl contest that led to a recording contract with Interscope Records, and she used that opening to launch a music career she has run independently since.
