Knox is Knox Morris, an American solo artist who records mononymously and writes pop rock with clear indie and alternative pop leanings. He released "How to Lose a Girl in 7 Songs" and "I'm So Good at Being Alone?" in 2023 and followed them in 2025 with "Going, Going, Gone," a WMG run of records that keeps an audible emo and pop-punk influence inside straightforward pop songwriting.
His taste was set early. Morris grew up on Fall Out Boy, Green Day and The All-American Rejects, and it was that pop-punk grounding, paired with his own knack for a sharp lyric, that pushed him to pursue music in the first place. The influence never got sanded off. Nashville promoters going into 2026 have billed him as a pop act reworking emo and pop-punk rather than leaving them behind.
The songwriting has been recognized on its own terms: "Not The 1975" earned him a SESAC Songwriter Award. On stage he works both sides of the Atlantic, with dates including Paradise Rock Club, Melkweg in Amsterdam, and a November 3, 2026 booking at Emo's in Austin, Texas.
