Kobosil is the solo project of Max Kobosil, a Berlin techno producer and DJ working under that name at least since 2013. His catalog runs from RK3 in 2013 through MDR 10 in 2014 to We Grow, You Decline in 2016, a run that traces the hardening of his sound from early club tracks into the fast, aggressive style he is now known for. His label home is 44 LABEL GROUP.
He came up in Berlin, born 5 April 1991, and his aesthetic was shaped by that upbringing along with EBM, noise, and industrial music. Those influences are audible in the work: dark, industrial-leaning techno with EBM in its bones rather than techno borrowing industrial texture as decoration.
Kobosil has appeared on the Awakenings Festival bill and has played rooms as varied as Espacio Riesco, E1 London, and The Fortitude Music Hall, a spread that covers large-format halls and dedicated club spaces alike. That range makes him a practical fit for festival stages, late-night club programming, college events, and private engagements looking for a techno headliner with an international touring record.
