Koe Wetzel is a country-rock singer, songwriter, and multi-Platinum recording artist from Pittsburg, East Texas, signed to Columbia Records through his own YellaBush Records imprint, whose raw, genre-defying sound blends country grit with grunge energy and outlaw attitude into one of the most talked-about live catalogs in American music. Born in Pittsburg, Texas, Wetzel grew up between his mother's touring country roots and his father's hip-hop record collection, with Nirvana, Soundgarden, and the Smashing Pumpkins rounding out a musical upbringing that had no obvious precedent. He played linebacker at Tarleton State University before a nagging injury ended his football career and pushed him toward music full-time.
