Koryn Hawthorne is a gospel and contemporary Christian singer who records for RCA Inspiration, the gospel division of Sony Music. Her single "Won't He Do It" carried the 2018 album Unstoppable and remains the song audiences ask for, and she has kept the releases coming since, with I Need You Now in 2022 and On God in 2024.
She came up in church. A native of Abbeville, Louisiana and the daughter of a minister, Hawthorne first sang in the pews and then spent her high school years working local festivals, nursing homes, and charity events before gaining national attention as a finalist on The Voice.
The awards followed the songs. "Won't He Do It" won Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song of the Year at the 49th GMA Dove Awards in 2018 and Top Gospel Song at the Billboard Music Awards in 2019, while Unstoppable took Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year at the Dove Awards and Outstanding Gospel Album at the NAACP Image Awards. She has been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song for both "Won't He Do It" and "Speak The Name," signed with Motown Gospel in 2026, and returned to the ESSENCE of Culture Main Stage at Essence Festival of Culture that year to sing "Won't He Do It." A solo artist whose stage credits also include Live in the Vineyard and the Summer Lights Tour, she is a strong fit for festival and fair lineups, college and corporate dates, casinos, and private events.
