Kountry Wayne is a Georgia comedian, actor and content creator who turned viral sketch videos into national headline tours. His original characters and celebrity cameos built a massive online following, and he has since headlined the Live Nation-produced Help Is On the Way Tour, played Netflix Is a Joke Fest and taped his first one-hour Netflix special, A Woman's Prayer, in 2023. Variety named him one of its 10 Comics to Watch in 2021.
His life story is part of the act. Born DeWayne Colley and raised in small-town Millen, Georgia, he is a father of 10, which fuels plenty of his material, and he counts Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor among his influences. He shared that perspective in his 2023 book, Help Is On the Way: Stay Up and Live Your Truth, with a foreword by Cedric the Entertainer.
Wayne has built a screen career too, debuting on MTV's Wild 'N Out in 2018, starring in the BET holiday film Holiday Heartbreak and Amazon Prime's Strange Love, appearing in Peacock's Praise This and co-hosting the BET+ series I Love Us with Kym Whitley. He is a strong fit for college programming boards, corporate events, comedy clubs, fairs and festivals, and private events looking for a headliner who can carry the night.
