Krewella is a dubstep, electro house, and electronic dance music group signed to Columbia Records. The 2015 album Somewhere to Run put the trio's sound on a major label, Ammunition followed in 2016, and Zer0 landed in 2020 after more than three dozen releases across singles, EPs, and remixes. The through-line is a group that has kept working inside dance music while its subgenres shifted around it.
Krewella started at home. The group formed in Northbrook, Illinois, in 2007 and originally paired sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf with producer Kristopher Trindl, with recording activity dating from 2010. That family core has shaped the act since, and the credits still read Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf, and Kris Trindl.
On stage the group has played rooms and outdoor sites of every size, from Marathon Music Works and The Ritz Ybor to festival grounds at Marston Point.
