Late Night Thoughts is the North East based folk-pop duo of Michael Harlow and Brian Rauch, writing songs with singer-songwriter detail and an indie pop lean. The duo records for Electric Feel Records, and its catalog runs from the Moonlit Memories EP and Bridges & Tunnels through the 2025 release Travel On to Coming Back Home in 2026.
They didn't set out to start a band, it happened almost by accident. Harlow and Rauch met at Brandeis University in a class called Protest Through Song, then joined the same a cappella group and became roommates, and one day simply decided, why not start a band? What began as a four-piece with two other students, both coincidentally named Ben, settled into just the two of them once busy schedules got in the way. They released their first song, "Happens," in 2018 while still in school, and went on to open for A$AP Ferg as the project picked up steam.
Harlow and Rauch have carried those songs through rooms of very different scale, playing Mercury Lounge and Subterranean as well as the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The duo's range fits college programming, corporate events, fairs and festivals, and private shows.
