Lauren Daigle is a singer and songwriter whose work sits where contemporary Christian music, gospel, and pop meet. Her debut album, How Can It Be, arrived in 2015 and was certified platinum, a start most artists spend a career chasing. Look Up Child followed in 2018, and in 2023 she released the self-titled Lauren Daigle. She records for Centricity Music and Atlantic Records.
She came by the voice honestly. Daigle was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and grew up in Lafayette, where she sang constantly and took in the zydeco, blues, and Cajun music around her. That south Louisiana ear still shows up in her phrasing.
