Leon Majcen is a Tampa singer-songwriter working in country, folk, and Americana, with releases out through Cloverdale Records. He introduced himself with Back 'Till I'm Gone in 2020 and has kept a steady pace since, from the self-titled Leon Majcen in 2024 to Making a Livin' (Not a Killin') in 2025. Across that run he keeps one foot in bluegrass and the other in indie folk, and the songs stay built around a voice and a story rather than a production.
He came to the work from a long way off. Majcen was born in the Czech Republic to Bosnian refugee parents and moved to Clearwater, Florida, before he turned two. He has been writing and performing as a singer-songwriter since at least 2016, building the career the way folksingers always have, by traveling and playing across the United States.
Majcen performs solo, and the touring has taken him to rooms as varied as Globe Hall, Newport Music Hall, and Township Auditorium, along with country and Americana concerts around the country. That road history makes him a straightforward fit for college programming, fairs and festivals, corporate events, and private shows, where one performer and a deep catalog of original songs can carry the night.
