Lil Skies is a rapper working across emo rap, trap, and pop rap. He set the terms of that sound with Life of a Dark Rose in 2017, a record that went platinum in the United States, silver in the United Kingdom, and gold in Canada. Shelby arrived in 2019 and Unbothered in 2021, and by then the catalog behind him ran past thirty releases, back to mixtape work including Good Grades, Bad Habits Vol. 2 in 2016.
He started young. Born Kimetrius Christopher Foose in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, in 1998, he was writing and recording by the age of twelve, and took the name Lil Skies as his commitment to the music deepened.
