Limp Bizkit is the nu metal and rapcore band formed in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida. Fronted by vocalist Fred Durst, the group fused hip-hop with heavy guitar to become a defining act of the late-1990s nu metal movement. Signed to Interscope Records, they broke through with Significant Other, whose single "Nookie" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance, and have kept the catalog going through Gold Cobra in 2011 and STILL SUCKS in 2021.
The sound came together around Durst and guitarist Wes Borland, with DJ Lethal on turntables shaping the band's rap-rock hybrid. That mix drew early Grammy attention: alongside the "Nookie" nod, Significant Other was nominated for Best Rock Album, and "Take A Look Around," the theme from "M:I-2," picked up a Best Hard Rock Performance nomination at the 2001 ceremony.
