Matt Sassari is a French electronic artist whose work sits between house and techno, taking in tech house, minimal tech, deep tech and peak time techno. He has been putting out records since the Soma EP in 2012, and by the time Junk Modul arrived in 2016 the sound had moved firmly toward the club. In 2019 "Put A Record On" went to number one on Beatport's overall chart, the high mark of a catalog that now runs past thirty releases.
He does it on his own. Born Matthieu Piacentile in Marseille in 1992, he writes, records and performs as a solo artist under the Sassari name, and his tracks have gone out through labels including Cr2 Records.
The festival side of the schedule has taken him to Electric Daisy Carnival and Sea You Festival, while the club dates run through rooms like 808, The Spotlight and Vinyl Rooftop. That mix of main-stage slots and late club sets, with a Beatport number one behind it, makes him a strong fit for festival lineups, college events, corporate nights and private engagements.
