Matt Schuster is a country singer and songwriter whose writing leans on folk storytelling and a modern acoustic sensibility, landing him in the country pop lane without sanding off the detail. He introduced himself with the single "Who Are You Kidding?" in August 2021, followed it with "Wasted Prayers" in 2023, and made his major-label debut on Warner Records Nashville with "Tell Me Tennessee," which won him the MusicRow DISCovery Award.
He came up in small-town Southern Illinois. The path to that label deal ran through songs he released himself, "Vienna" and "Ophelia" among them, which found their audience before anyone signed him.
