Meg Mac is the stage name of Australian singer-songwriter Megan McInerney, working across soul, alternative, and pop. Her career took off after she submitted "Known Better" to Triple J Unearthed, where the single drew significant attention. Her self-titled debut EP earned ARIA Award nominations for Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and she went on to release the albums Low Blows in 2017 and Matter of Time in 2022, the latter reaching #1 on the ARIA National Album Chart.
She came up through formal training. Meg Mac specialised in music at The McDonald College before studying music at WAAPA in Perth, and Triple J Unearthed named her its Featured Artist of the Week in 2013 and Unearthed Artist of the Year in 2014.
Signed to littleBIGMAN Records in Australia and 300 Entertainment in the United States, Meg Mac was named Best Australian Act at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards. She has recorded a live release at the Brisbane Powerhouse and toured rooms like Schubas Tavern in Chicago around the release of Low Blows.
