Michael Marcagi is a Cincinnati singer and guitarist working in indie folk and folk pop. He introduced himself with "The Other Side" in 2023 and moved quickly from there, releasing "Scared to Start" and "American Romance" in 2024 under WMG. The songs sit where folk rock and indie meet, built on voice and guitar rather than production, and the catalog has kept growing since, with "Under The Streetlights" set for 2026.
He started later than most. Marcagi has said his interest in music began when he was given a guitar at Christmas in seventh grade, which makes the pace of everything after 2023 look less like a slow build and more like a run.
Since then the touring has taken him to Hayden Homes Amphitheater, The Amp in Vail, Colorado, and Remlinger Farms in Carnation, Washington, the kind of outdoor rooms where a folk act either holds a crowd or does not. Marcagi does. That makes him a natural fit for fair and festival lineups, college dates, casino stages, corporate events, and private shows.
