Monsta X is a South Korean, K-Pop boy group who made their debut in 2015 through the survival program No Mercy. They are known for having a unique style, often described as intense or aggressive, combining the elements of hip hop, EDM, and pop. They are represented by Starship Entertainment who hosts other popular K-pop groups such as Sistar, Cosmic, Cravity, IVE, and more. There are currently 6 members: Shownu (main dancer), Minhyuk (sub-vocalist/visual), Kihyun (main vocals), Hyungwon (lead dancer/sub-vocalist/visual/center), Joohoney or Jooheon (main rapper, sub-vocalist), and I.M. or Changkyun (lead rapper, sub-vocalist, maknae). Former member Wonho left the group in 2020 and is now pursuing a successful career as a soloist under Highline Entertainment. Currently, there are only 5 active members as Shownu has enlisted to fulfill his mandatory military service.
