MOONLGHT is the stage name of Stefan Schonewille, a DJ, producer, and songwriter whose work sits across house, deep house, electro house, and dance. He has been releasing steadily since 2020, moving from early singles like "Wicked Game" through "stupid things" in 2021 and "Take A Chance" in 2022, a run of more than thirty tracks that traded one-off club edits for a recognizable sound of his own. He records for Uncharted Territory.
Dutch-born and Nashville-based, he came to electronic music from two directions at once, writing songs and producing them, and the DJ set is where those jobs meet. The songwriting habit shows up in how the records are built: hooks first, dance floor second.
Behind the decks he has played rooms including Ocean Casino Resort, HQ2, and Aura KC, the kind of casino and club bookings that ask a DJ to read a crowd rather than run a pre-cut set. That combination of a working club schedule and a catalog he wrote himself makes him a practical fit for casino residencies and one-nighters, college and campus events, festival and fair stages, corporate parties, and private events.
