Mustard is the Los Angeles DJ and producer Dijon Isaiah McFarlane, who worked as DJ Mustard before shortening the name. His catalog sits where West Coast hip-hop, ratchet music, trap and contemporary R&B meet, and his own releases trace that widening range: 10 Summers Vol. 1 in 2015, Cold Summer in 2016, and Ketchup in 2019. He records under BMG Rights Management.
He started early. Mustard was 11 when an uncle pushed him to DJ a family party, and he spent his teens turning that one night into a craft, developing as a DJ and as a producer at the same time.
His production work brought him a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for Ella Mai's "Boo'd Up." On stage he moves between club and casino rooms, among them Hakkasan at MGM Grand and Marquee Nightclub, and college dates such as Cal State Fullerton, which makes him a straightforward fit for campus programming, casino and festival lineups, corporate events and private shows.
