Nickelback is a post-grunge and hard rock band that grew out of a covers group before becoming one of the genre's defining acts. The band's early breakthrough came with the single "How You Remind Me," and they have kept the catalog moving through Get Rollin' in 2022. The band traces back to 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, where the members first played together in a covers band called Village Idiot. They later took root in Vancouver and signed with Bertelsmann Music Group. The years since have turned a small-town start into a long-running career.
Nickelback's lineup has featured Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake, and Daniel Adair. The band earned a place on Canada's Walk of Fame and took home several Juno Awards, including Best New Group in 2001, Best Group in 2002, and Best Single for "How You Remind Me" in 2002.
