Nosaj Thing is the Los Angeles electronic producer Jason Chung, working across downtempo, ambient and deep house. Drift, released in 2009, put him on the map, and the two albums that followed, Home in 2013 and Fated in 2015, pushed the same instincts toward ambient pop and the quieter end of dance music. His label home is LUCKYME®.
He built the project onstage as much as in the studio. Early shows came at The Smell, the DIY underground venue in Los Angeles, and that is where he developed the live visuals that still define his sets. He opened a night at Shock Value, the precursor to the Los Angeles club night Low End Theory, and he remains closely tied to Low End Theory and the beat scene that grew around it.
Since then he has headlined live shows around the world, built with visual collaborators rather than presented as a producer behind a laptop. That combination of catalog and full audiovisual show makes him a strong fit for college programming, festival and club bookings, corporate events, and private engagements.
