Odd Future is a Los Angeles rap collective whose catalog moves between alternative hip-hop, West Coast hip-hop, horrorcore, and alternative R&B. The group announced itself with the Odd Future Tape in 2008, followed with Radical in 2010, and consolidated its run with The OF Tape Vol. 2 in 2012, released on Odd Future Records.
They came up young. Odd Future formed around 2007 out of a circle of Los Angeles teenagers and young adults led by Tyler, the Creator, and it grew rather than arrived: a small founding core that kept adding voices instead of settling into a fixed lineup.
Hodgy was part of that original core, and the roster widened over the years to include Earl Sweatshirt and Frank Ocean, which is why the group's output spans rap, R&B, and its more abrasive edges in the same breath. That range, and the size of the collective behind it, make Odd Future a natural fit for college programming, festival lineups, corporate events, and private shows.
