Of Monsters & Men have spent more than a decade working the seam where indie folk meets indie pop, and they have never rushed it. My Head Is an Animal introduced the band in 2011. FEVER DREAM carried them to the close of that decade in 2019. All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade arrived in 2025, a fourteen-year span between first statement and latest, written on the band's own schedule rather than anyone else's. They started in a small town and stayed a band. Of Monsters & Men formed in Keflavík in 2010 and have been active every year since, which is rarer than it sounds for a group that came up in the indie folk wave of the early 2010s and outlasted it.
Nanna, Brynjar Leifsson, Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson and Árni Guðjónsson are among the players who fill out the lineup, and the road is where the catalog gets its second life.
