Olive Klug is an indie folk singer-songwriter (they/them) whose contemporary folk songs carry folk-punk and Americana influences. After self-releasing the EP "Fire Alarm" in 2019, Klug drew a wider audience through singles that gained traction on TikTok in 2021, building a following past 140,000 by October 2022. That momentum carried into a debut full-length album, "Don't You Dare Make Me Jaded," released August 11, 2023, followed by "Lost Dog" in 2025 on Audiotree Music.
Klug was raised in Portland, Oregon, where they took to theater and dance early and played their first original song, "Spirit in Disguise," at an Artichoke Music open mic at age 15. That open-mic start grew into a touring songwriter's circuit of listening rooms, with stops at Club Passim in Cambridge, Caffè Lena in Saratoga Springs, and the Cat in the Cream at Oberlin College.
Klug performed at the Sisters Folk Festival in 2023 and has been part of Folk Alliance International across consecutive years through 2024. With a catalog built for close, lyric-forward rooms, they make a strong fit for folk festival and fair lineups, college events, and private engagements.
