Paolo Nutini is a Scottish singer-songwriter known for a raw, soulful voice and songs that move easily between folk, blues, soul and rock. Fans know him for "Last Request," "Candy," "Pencil Full of Lead" and "Iron Sky," and two of his albums, Sunny Side Up in 2009 and Caustic Love in 2014, debuted at No. 1 in the UK. After an eight-year gap he returned in 2022 with Last Night in the Bittersweet.
He was expected to take over the family chip shop. Born in Paisley to a father of Italian descent, Nutini was encouraged to sing by his grandfather, worked as a roadie and merch seller for a local band, moved to London at 17 and signed with Atlantic Records shortly after turning 18.
Nutini has earned an Ivor Novello Award, a Q Award for "Iron Sky" and three BRIT nominations, and he is a proven headliner, playing to 35,000 people at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park in 2015 and topping the bill at TRNSMT in 2022. He is a strong fit for festival and fair lineups, performing arts centers, college events, corporate dates and private engagements.
