Pecos and the Rooftops play Texas country with a southern rock edge, and they have been working at it since 2019. The Red Eye E.P. arrived in 2020, a self-titled album followed in 2023, and From Me came in 2025, with the band now recording for WMG. Their single "This Damn Song" reached platinum certification and has passed 250 million streams.
The beginning was a college one. Four of the original members met while attending school in Lubbock, Texas, and the name comes in part from the rooftop where they spent their time.
Pecos Hurley fronts the band on vocals and acoustic guitar, with Zack Foster on lead guitar, Kalen Davis on bass, and Garrett Peltier on drums. They have played Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth and Bell's Eccentric Cafe, and turned up at WE Fest, the country music festival in Minnesota. That range of rooms suits them to fair and festival lineups, college events, casino stages, and private engagements.
