Pegboard Nerds is an electronic duo whose work sits across dubstep, drumstep, electro house, and EDM. The catalog is deep, dozens of releases and counting, and the through-line is audible from "New Style" in 2014 to "Heartbit" in 2016 to "Party Freaks" in 2018: dance music built for volume and for a crowd that came to move. They did not arrive as beginners. Alexander Odden, from Hamar, Norway, and Michael Parsberg, from Copenhagen, Denmark, each had more than twenty years of production work behind them across trance, house, eurodance, electro, and techno before they formed Pegboard Nerds in 2011. That long apprenticeship in club and radio-facing styles is why the project has never sounded like a single narrow lane.
Pegboard Nerds has been active since 2012, with Odden and Parsberg splitting the studio and the stage between Norway and Denmark. Their sound suits high-energy rooms and late slots, which makes them a fit for college events, festival and fair lineups, casino nights, corporate parties, and private events.
